A Spanish Language Success Story

One of my friends asked me a few months ago what was the best way to start learning Spanish. He chose me because as a language teacher and learner (see http://123-learnspanish.com) I have a lot of experience and knows what it takes to improve your level. I told him that the main thing was to put a lot of effort into his speaking and listening, and make sure that he understands how to pronounce words correctly, making sure that he can be fully understood so as to give him confidence in what he is saying is clear and concise.

He decided to start with an audio course, supplementing this with lots of speaking practice with three different language exchange partners, and a grammar book so he could understand the different constructions. He worked through the audio course in a relaxed way, had lots of fun speaking Spanish with people from South America and even enjoyed the grammar he was reading as this helped him truly understand the different constructions that he heard.

He has made some really amazing progress in a short space of time, and now he is freely conversing with his language partners in a way that he thought was going to take him months to attain.

The main thing to take away from this story is that he learned the type of Spanish that we use in every day conversations and he used his Spanish verbally with native speakers. Putting yourself out there and using your Spanish will see you make big improvements in your overall Spanish.

That is why it is recommended that you check out Accent Pros programs for the best affordable classes today! At home, you could continue the learning by purchasing audio books which you could use to help with your vocabulary, grammar and pronunciation. Mimicking a native English speaker is also a great accent practice. You could do this by watching American TV shows, news or listening to the radio. Befriending native speakers to get a hang of naturally speaking in English for normal social conversations is also ideal. Do not be afraid to make mistakes, it is even better if you ask your native speaking friends to correct you for your own improvement. Also join support groups online, which could help you meet other professionals struggling to improve their accents at the work place.

If you can afford it, generally private school is going to be a better choice. The main reason for this is because private school offers a more personalized and in-depth education than over-crowded public schools. Taking Some Classes for Fun

It’s been a long time since I took a class just for myself and the sheer pleasure of learning. I used to take courses all of the time through the local university and through the community center. I took dance, poetry and aerobics a few years ago, just for the fun of it. It made me feel really good, and like I was doing something good for myself. I decided to look into some local course options, and see what kinds of courses were available in my town that I could take just for fun. I also think it’s a good idea to take classes that might give a new skill set. I found a few good ones from sushi-making to French classes Glasgow. I think I will definitely take French. If I wasn’t so afraid of raw fish, I’d take sushi too. I can’t wait to see what I’ll learn.
